The price war to stay afloat in the market is gaining pace with major brands slashing the tablet price.

Starting 2012, Research in Motion (RIM) slashed the PlayBook tablet price by 50%.

Next it was Motorola announcing price cut for its Xoom tablet.

Samsung followed suit with slashing the Galaxy Tab(7-inch) price. Samsung Galaxy Tab (7-inch, Wi-Fi variant) is now available for Rs. 13,999.
