The science competition “Google Science Fair” has been launched for this year.
The completion is open for students in the age group of 13 to 18. The students can participate individually or in team of up to three people.
All they have to do is pose a question, develop a hypothesis and conduct scientific experiments to test it.
Google has partnered with CERN, The LEGO Group, National Geographic and Scientific American.
Students can submit their entries in any of the 13 languages (Arabic, Chinese, Dutch, English, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Spanish and Russia). Total 90 regional finalists (30 each from Americas, Asia Pacific, Europe/Middle East/Africa) will be picked. Top 15 finalists will be attending the Google Science Fair event at Google headquarters in Mountain View, California.
This year's judges include Vint Cerf, Sylvia Earle and Nobel Laureates David Gross and Ada Yonath.
Students can submit their project till April 1, 2012. The winners can take away cool prizes like a $50,000 college scholarship from Google, a 10-day trip to the Galapagos Islands with a National Geographic Explorer or an internship at Google or any one of our partners.
