While Google missed on Q4 revenue and share fell almost 10%,
Microsoft on the other hand reported better than expected results.
Microsoft Corp. said today that its net income for the last quarter
flat from a year ago but revenue rose 5 percent. Net income in the company's
second quarter came to $6.62 billion, down slightly from the $6.63 billion a
year ago. Earnings per share came to 78 cents, up a penny from a year ago. Analysts
were looking for 76 cents a share.
The company shares rose almost 3% in after-hours trading.
