Random.Next Method in .NET compact framework returns a nonnegative random number.

Introduction

Random.Next Method in .NET compact framework returns a nonnegative random number. There are many situation when we need random number in out application. Through this method we can find non-negative random number.

Syntax which are used to use this method in .NET Framework.

Fallowing syntax returns a nonnegative random number.

  • For Visual Basic
     Overloads Public Overridable Function Next() As Integer
  • For C#
    public virtual int Next();
  • For C++
    public: virtual int Next();
  • For JScript
    public function Next() : int;

Fallowing syntax returns a nonnegative random number less than the specified maximum.

  • For Visual Basic
    Overloads Public Overridable Function Next(Integer) As Integer
  • For C#
    public virtual int Next(int);
  • For C++
    public: virtual int Next(int);
  • For JScript
    public function Next(int) : int;

Fallowing syntax returns a random number within a specified range.

  • For Visual Basic
    Overloads Public Overridable Function Next(Integer, Integer) As Integer
  • For C#
    public virtual int Next(int, int);
  • For C++
