 | Here comes another tablet PC from HCL
Infosystems, its seven-inch tablet X1, priced at Rs 10,490, in the Indian
market. In an event held in the capital today, HCL launched it. The tablet comes
at a time when, according to a Gartner report, around 1.58 lakh units of tablets
were shipped in India during nine month period ending June 2011. It comes loaded with India content
and applications along with an integrated back up service with HCL Touch, a 24x7
one touch service facility. The X1, priced at Rs 10,490, is now available across the country. |
Talking about the demand environment for computers, Chitale said the demand has been slow in the large enterprises and the government segments in the last quarter.
Specifications:
- The tablet PC packs in a Cortex A8 1 GHz
processor that consumes low power, claims the company.
- Powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread
operating system,
- 800 x 480 capacitive touch display.
- Full HD video support.
- It comes with a 2 MP camera and 4 GB of
internal memory expandable to 32 GB.
- It comprises Flash support through Adobe
10.3.
- The X1 lacks support for 3G but has an
option of Wi-Fi and data connectivity through USB dongles.
