Launches Guide for Politicians, political organizations and
in effort to
acquaint the demographic with the search engine giant's five-month-old social
network. The guide provides political types with a step-by-step walk through for
creating a page.
“By creating a Google+ Page for your public office or campaign, you and your
staff can promote an issue, platform or cause across the web,” the post says
“Regularly posting interesting content, engaging with your followers by asking
questions, and sharing photos and videos are all ways to keep people coming back
for more.”
Rick Snyder's search for people to add to his circles, and the Dalai Lama and
Archbishop Desmond Tutu's Hangout for the Inaugural Desmond Tutu Peace Lecture.
The post highlights five ways politicians and campaigns can use Google+: to
share content, express support, tailor content through circles, host hangouts
and share photos. It notes some early adopters' usages, including U.S. Sen.
Bernie Sanders' polling of his constituents.
