In anticipation of T-Mobile's event tonight in
NYC, Nokia has posted a press pamphlet for the T-Mobile-branded Lumia 710, which
will be available on January 11. The packet includes a full spec sheet as well
as some press shots. On that day, T-Mobile will start selling the Lumia 710 for
$49.99 on contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate. The handset will be available in
two color versions: black and white (the white version actually still has a
black back cover).
The 710 is Nokia's first Windows Phone device
for the US market. T-Mobile and Nokia say it is “targeted at the nearly 150
million Americans who haven't purchased their first smartphones.”
Since the handset has HSPA+ (14Mbps)
connectivity, T-Mobile USA is marketing it as a 4G smartphone – it's doing the
same with the HTC Radar, which is its first Windows Phone Mango device, and
costs $99.99 on contract.
