Google is pleased to announce that we have negotiated a significant and mutually beneficial revenue agreement with Google. This new agreement extends our long term search relationship with Google for at least three additional years.

The new three-year deal is a big win for Mozilla, the nonprofit software maker behind Firefox, which is charged with defending openness of the Web.

Google's own browser, Chrome, passed Firefox as the second most widely used browser last month with a 25.69 percent global market share, according to StatCounter. Firefox had 25.23 percent of the global market and No. 1 Microsoft Corp.(NASDAQ:MSFT) had 40.63 percent.

Mozilla has been a valuable partner to Google over the years and we look forward to continuing this great partnership in the years to come, said Alan Eustace, Senior Vice President of Search, Google.

Google has provided almost all of the financing to support Mountain View-based Mozilla, reportedly amounting to 84 percent of its $123 million in revenue in 2010.
