A global membership organization is really thousands of local ones, and one worldwide community at the same time. Members want both: the chapter down the road they can show up to, and the global network they joined for. But activities, events, and member directories often live in disconnected systems, so the local feels cut off from the global and engagement leaks away between them. This nonprofit needed one app that made a member feel part of their city and the whole organization at once.

That means managing members, activities, and events centrally while still surfacing what’s near you, the local meetup tonight as easily as the global summit, and making it effortless to find and connect with other members wherever they are.

The challenge

Could one mobile app manage a nonprofit’s members and activities and connect them both locally and globally, the chapter meetup and the worldwide community, so engagement compounds instead of leaking between the two?

The approach

We built a mobile app that puts membership, activities, and community in one place. Members manage their profile, discover and join local-chapter and global events, and find and connect with other members nearby and around the world, with the organization managing it all from a single back end.

01
Membership in your pocket
Members manage their profile, status, and benefits from a native app, so belonging is always a tap away rather than a login they forget.
02
Local and global, together
The app surfaces both the nearby chapter event and the worldwide community, so a member feels part of their city and the whole organization at once.
03
Activities & events
Chapters and the central organization publish activities and events that members discover, RSVP to, and attend, all managed from one place.
04
Find & connect
Members can find and connect with others nearby and across the globe, turning a directory into an actual community.

Belonging is local and global at the same time. The app had to make a member feel both, from one screen.

The outcome

The nonprofit now runs its membership and activities through one app that connects members to their local chapter and the global community alike. Events fill, members find each other across cities and countries, and engagement that used to leak between local and global now reinforces itself.

Local belonging. Global reach. One app, both at once.

The same platform scales to new chapters, regions, and activity types as the organization grows, each addition joins the existing membership and events backbone, so expanding the community is configuration, not a new build.
